Give me my Coffee

Give me my Coffee

A morning coffee is my favorite way of starting the day, settling the nerves so that they don’t later fray.

I love coffee.

With that I could also end this post, but I just finished yoga, so I feel inspired to write.

I don’t need coffee. If I’m too busy or can’t have my morning coffee, it doesn’t really make a difference. But it is one of those little routines that have become part of my day.

When times are busy and I know there’s a hectic day ahead of me, I like getting up a bit earlier than everyone else and enjoy that first cup of coffee while it’s quiet. Even when I’m running an event, that first cup is calming. People running around, asking questions, and I make myself sit down and take a couple of minutes for myself.

And then there’s the smell of freshy brewed coffee. Oh that is amazing!

Now, I’m a bit of a coffee snob. If the coffee isn’t good, there’s no way I will drink it. It just has to be perfect. So I have been known to bring my own coffee along to events and weekend trips.

The only thing better than a fresh cup of coffee in the morning, is when it’s made by someone else and brought to me. Oh, I miss that.
